The Ellinomatheia exams are the official international certification of Greek language proficiency for non-native speakers. They are organised by the Centre for the Greek Language under the supervision of the Greek Ministry of Education and are recognised globally by universities, employers, and public institutions.

The Ellinomatheia exams are available at six levels, aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):
